As many of you know, last Friday was Hockey Talks night at Rogers Arena that was created to keep the conversation on mental health top of mind.  One of our own, Julie Cowie, has provided some excellent community resources to support our mental health and for those who are suffering.

BounceBack BC-BounceBack®is a free skill-building program designed to help adults and youth 15+ manage low mood, mild to moderate depression, anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered online or over the phone with a coach, you will get access to tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness. BounceBack® works in partnership with service providers to ensure that participants are supported by a trained professional – So you need a referral, through a primary care doctor or nurse practitioner or counsellor! 

Anxiety BC– Expert tools and resources to help Canadians manage anxiety.

Mindhealthbc.ca– If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety or another mental health or substance use condition, the last thing you need is to be overwhelmed when you’re looking for help. That’s where MindHealthBC comes in. We make it easy for you to get the information and resources you need to start feeling better. Developed by Vancouver Coastal Health and Providence Health Care in partnership with the Shared Care Committee – a joint committee of the Doctors of BC and the Ministry of Health, MindHealthBC is a tool you can trust.

https://foundrybc.ca/– Foundry offers young people ages 12-24 health and wellness resources, services and supports –Available on an APP or online and through integrated service centres in communities across BC. There are drop in one-one online drop in counselling appointments available

Kelty Mental Health– The BC Children’s Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre provides mental health and substance use information, resources, help with mental health system navigation and peer support to children, youth and their families from across BC.
